Who she is
Swati has 11 years of investment and research experience in consumer facing sectors, across different stages of businesses – from early stage start-ups to listed companies. Her expertise spans across a diverse range of sectors including FMCG, Education, Media, Technology, Agri and Exchanges. Having worked closely with founders in listed companies and early stage start-ups, Swati is able to well appreciate the challenges of market penetration while also being able to identify the right strategy to build scale.
Prior to co-founding Sixth Sense, Swati was working with IDFC Securities where she was involved in investment analysis of consumer centric companies both in the listed and private domain. In 2014, she was awarded Thomson Reuters, StarMine Award for the No.1 Stock Picker in Media. She excels in identifying new consumer trends and themes. Some of her work includes differentiated presentations on Food Security, Changing DNA (of organizations) and If I Were (based on strategies consumer companies should adopt). She was awarded the Certificate of Appreciation at IDFC for differentiated and path breaking research work.
Swati is an MBA (Dean’s list) from INSEAD Business School, CFA USA Charter holder and a Computer Engineer (Gold Medalist) from Thadomal Shahani Engineering College.
Working at Sixth Sense requires the team to have an appetite for risks and Swati is no different. An avid traveller, she gets a high from paragliding or hiking up some of the most beautiful locations around the world. During her travels her search for the next BIG idea continues.
